The ITA have the called the first, in what is likely to be a series of Demos for Monday 12th November 2018 at 4pm on London Bridge
The action has been called to highlight a number of issues including, drivers being attacked, Bank Junction restrictions, ULEV only access to certain roads
The LTDA have declared Lisson Grove a “no go area” due to the recent attacks on Taxi and drivers. They have stated that any driver having to answer a complaint from TFL for refusing to go into the area will be defended by the LTDA, we are sure that under the present circumstances most driver orgs will do the same.
The UCG yesterday announced that they were to withdraw from TFLs engagement policy with immediate effect.
In a statement the UCG said, “today we have pulled out of all further TOPS, Senior Reps meetings with TFL and the commissioner. We will not be complicit in the dilution of our unique trade”.
Tomorrow Friday 9th November is the Cabbies do Kili charity car wash at the Iron Lung Regency Street, all proceeds will be donated to the Taxi Charity for Military Veterans so please come along and get your cab washed ready for Poppy Cabs on Sunday
Sunday the 11th November is PoppyCabs once again, this is where drivers give up there time to transport veterans to the Cenotaph from all the Major Mainline Train Stations and Victory Services Club, Union Jack Club and Victoria Coach Station from 8:00am to 10:00am and then queue upon Westminster Bridge for the return journey from 12:30pm till 2:00pm.
