The ITA have called a series of Demos planned to start on Monday 26th November 2018 with the first planned for London Bridge on the 26th at 4pm.

In this weeks show we reported that the demos would start on Monday the 19th November, this was obviously incorrect and we apologise for any confusion or inconvenience caused.

This action was called in response to TFL’s proposal to ban taxis from using Tooley Street.

The ITA state “where buses go we should go”

This is a series of planned action everyday until this issue is resolved.

Grant Davis of the LCDC published a periscope video strongly opposing this proposal and calling for a mass ply for hire, you can listen to what Grant had to say in our main weekly show.

The Lisson Grove mob went on the rampage again yesterday when a group of youths entered Paddington Station and started kicking cabs and provoking drivers,

One Taxi in particular was attacked by the mob while other drivers on the rank sat in their taxis and watched.

Drivers need to stick together and show this mob that we will not stand for this sort of behavior nor we will be intimidated by them.

Uber posts $1 billion loss in quarter as growth in bookings slows

Uber Technologies Inc said on Wednesday that growth in bookings for its ride-hailing and delivery services rose 6 percent in the latest quarter, the third quarter in a row that growth has remained in the single digits after double-digit growth for all of last year.

The San Francisco-based firm lost $1.07 billion for the three months ending Sept. 30, a 20 percent increase from the previous quarter but down 27 percent from a year ago, when the company posted its biggest publicly reported quarterly loss on the heels of the departure of Uber co-founder and former Chief Executive Travis Kalanick.

Uber is seeking to expand in freight hauling, food delivery and electric bikes and scooters as growth in its now decade-old ride-hailing business dwindles. The company, valued at $76 billion, faces pressure to show it can still grow enough to become profitable and satisfy investors in an initial public offering planned for some time next year.

Police have unveiled their new weapon – a camera that can produce clear images of people inside a car almost a mile away and dubbed ‘The Long Ranger’.

The massive camera has been showcased at the launch of a pilot project called Operation Indemnis.

Police in Gloucester are using the whopping camera to tackle motoring offences such as speeding, tailgating and using a mobile phone while driving.

Speed guns have been able to detect how fast cars travel but the new camera produces clear video footage and still photographs of the people inside them.
